About Calypso Snorkel & Dive
With visibility between 15m to 30m and water temperatures of 24C to 30C, diving conditions are great all year round. Clown Fish, anenomes, Maori wrasse and turtles are just some of the varieties of marine life seen while diving our sites on Australia's Great Barrier Reef.
All diving is guided by qualified Dive Masters/Instructors and in small groups. We allow a maximum of 4 divers for Introductory Diving.
We cater for all levels of experience.
We operate under PADI, the largest SCUBA dive organisation in the world.
Ultimate Reef Vessel
Catering for approximately 80 passengers (during high season), an impressive feature of this catamaran is the nine metre wide back deck. This provides room, comfort and ease for all snorkellers and divers to enter the water for marine activities. Guided snorkel tours and an interpretive reef talk are available for guests to learn more about the largest living organism on earth.
Morning tea, afternoon tea and lunch are served in the comfort of the air conditioned saloon. Tea, coffee and filtered water available all day.
Our top deck with sun lounges offers a great place to step back and view the beauty of this amazing Great Barrier Reef and be stunned by its immense size.
All seating, inside and out, is upholstered for your comfort
Four toilets onboard, each containing a fresh water shower
No experience is necessary to scuba dive – our qualified PADI Dive Instructors will take you through a Discover Scuba Diving Brief highlighting all safety procedures and skills.
Once at the reef, you will practice your skills both on the boat and in the water before being taken on a 30-40 minute dive with your instructor to explore spectacular coral reefs and abundant marine life from a different perspective. Up to three dives are available.
Our dive gear is high quality and includes dive computers and large tanks.
You can enjoy three spectacular dives in one day!
